It’s true. And it’s one of those things that either you know it, you get it… Or you don’t. Myself, I get it. Completely. Out of all the many years of my office working career, I spent precious few of them in an office space. Most of the time, I was in a fabric covered, soul absorbing cubicle cell. But if you live with someone who hasn’t worked like that… chances are pretty good that they don’t get it. That can be rough. So this is a good place for you.

I’m writing this because after many years, after a lot of trial and error, I’ve figured out how to cope with cubicle farm life. I’ve figured out how to get through each day, each mind-numbing hour, each newly frustrating minute, so I can be at peace for most of the day.

Disclaimer: I am no Buddha, or any other enlightened type of person. But I’m working on it!

Over the years I have found many way to survive my cubicle farm incarceration. And I want to share them with you, my fellow Cubicle Farm Survivors!

Are you coming home drained every day? Do you find yourself depressed or anxious? Or perhaps you find yourself with anger issues, wanting to lash out at others while driving, or once you get home… or even while you are still at work? I’m writing this because I used to be all of those things, and I’m better now, and I want you to be better too! I figured out a lot of things, and I’m still figuring some others. But in the meantime, I’ve got to share this because I’ve seen too many friends struggle with Cubicle Farm Syndrome for too, too long!

Disclaimer: I am no doctor, or any other health care professional. I never will be. So while I want you to come back often, and find great way to help cope with the Cube Farm you have to work in every day, please don’t hesitate to get professional help for any serious issues.

One thing to remember: Why am I doing this?

Because after suffering for many years in the Cubicle Farm hell that I had somehow ended up building my career in, I figured out how to be ‘okay’ there, how to survive there, and I want more than anything to share it with you, my brothers and sisters in Cube Farm hell.

Some of this will be pretty serious stuff, about changing your life, your habits, your outlook and so on. Plenty of it will be pretty light-hearted, designed to make sure you don’t devolve into a sour, bitter lump of dirty gray putty!
